About Zoe
Zoe Hollander (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based theatre artist, educator, and general proponent of whimsy. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Zoe grew up in the arts and has been performing from a young age. Whether it be in the living room of her childhood home or on various stages around the Twin Cities, Zoe has always loved telling stories. Her favorites are the ones that make you laugh, think about your own life, and then reflect a bit on how we as humans have collectively made it this far.
Zoe moved to Philly to pursue a BFA of Musical Theatre at the University of the Arts, where she studied for 3 years prior to the institution’s closure in 2024. She graduated from Temple University in the spring of 2025, and is now proud to identify as a multi-hyphenate artist. In addition to her work as a musical theatre performer, Zoe also specializes in: Shakespeare and classical acting, improv comedy, dramaturgy, and theatre education.

Late Night Reruns:
Make Good Theatre Company was thrilled to debut their new improv show, Late Night Reruns: An Improvised Sitcom, not once, but twice this summer! Performed at SideQuest Theater’s Weird Weekend and the Yo Adrienne Improv Festival, the show used audience suggestions to create a brand new episode of everyone’s favorite long-running sitcom. Summer Camp Extravaganza!
Zoe spent her summer working as a teaching artist for several different theatre companies, including The Arden Theatre Company, Pennsylvania Theatre Institute at West Chester, and The Walnut Street Theatre. She had so much fun getting to know so many different students and is so proud of all of the silly, magical work they created this summer.

Zoe was on a podcast! Hosted by her good friend and peer Gideon McDonald, Philly Phone Book: A Podcast Artchive celebrates Philadelphia-based artists and asks them about their history, process, and why they make art.

Zoe was an understudy for The Arden Theatre Company’s production of The Hobbit, and she covered the Thorin/Dwalin/Goblin 1/Wolf 1/Eagle track. Zoe made her Arden debut during the run of the production and got the opportunity to perform the role twice!

Bully Prep
September 16th, 17th, 20th, & 25th
Zoe is excited to return to the stage this fall in Bully Prep, a new play written by Terrilyn McCormick and directed by Elise D’Avella for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Produced by Cannonball, the show asks audiences to examine the effects that phones and social media have on children. Performances are on the Third Floor Stage at the Asian Arts Initiative Building, and PWYC ticket options are available.

Zoe is working as a historical interpreter for Historic Philadelphia Inc. for their 2026-2027 season! She spent her summer interpreting Mary Crathorne, 18th century chocolate maker, in the Betsy Ross Courtyard. Although her main season has concluded, keep an eye out for Miss Crathorne at pop-up events throughout the year! More information on the Meet the Women of the 18th Century program can be found here.

Zoe is excited to be returning to The Arden Theatre Company for her third year teaching at Arden Drama School! She will be leading several Musical Theatre and Acting classes throughout this fall.
